1. How to Use Your Byrna SD / Byrna LE

A. Setting Up the CO₂ Cartridge

1. Remove the Magazine
   • Press the magazine release button and slide the magazine out.

1. Access the CO₂ Chamber
   • Unscrew the CO₂ chamber cap at the back of the grip.
2. Insert an 8g CO₂ Cartridge
   • Place it neck up into the chamber.
   • Screw the cap back on until snug, but do not overtighten.
   • The first trigger pull will puncture the CO₂ cartridge—be aware that it won’t fire a projectile on the first pull.

B. Loading Projectiles

1. Load Up to 5 Rounds
   • Choose kinetic, pepper, or training rounds.
   • Insert them one at a time into the magazine.
   • Ensure they are seated properly.
2. Reinsert the Magazine
   • Slide the loaded magazine back into the launcher until it clicks into place.

C. Firing the Launcher

1. Grip Firmly & Aim
   • Use iron sights or the attached S.A. Self Defense Laser Sights(seen here).
2. Pull the Trigger
   • The first pull punctures the CO₂ if it’s a fresh cartridge and wont fire. The second time you pull the trigger it will fire.
   • Each CO₂ cartridge lasts 15-20 shots before replacement is needed.
