SUBMIT YOUR S.A. SELF DEFENSE “GET THE HERO TO LAUGH OR SMILE”

Let’s celebrate the everyday heroes who keep our communities safe.

Snap a family-friendly pic or short video of a first responder, military member, or ANY HERO smiling or laughing — and share it with the S.A. Self Defense community. The entry with the most verified votes wins a Byrna CL plus an S.A. Self Defense holster (or a prize of equal value where restricted).

How it works

1. Create your account or log in. (Voting and submitting both require an account to prevent duplicate votes.)

2. Upload one original photo or video of your hero — hero must be in uniform to qualify.

3. Share your entry from the lightbox using “Share to get votes.” Hashtags are added for you.

4. One vote per account, per image. Public voting decides the winner.

5. Who can submit

   Anyone (U.S. residents, 18+) can submit an entry—you do not need to be police, fire, military, TSA, or any other listed role.

   What the photo/video must show

   • A hero (from our eligible list) smiling or laughing

   • The hero must be in uniform

   • Family-friendly content only

   Rights & permission

   • You must own the photo/video or have the photographer’s permission to submit it.

   • You must have the hero’s consent to share their image for this contest.

• EMS, EMTs, and paramedics

• 911/dispatchers (if in uniform)

• Active-duty military (all branches)

• National Guard & Reserve members

• Veterans (in recognizable uniform or dress uniform)

• Coast Guard

• Border Patrol (USBP)

• Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers

• Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers/agents

• Corrections officers & detention deputies

• Probation & parole officers (if uniformed)

• Federal law enforcement (FBI, DHS, USMS, etc., if uniformed)

• State & local park rangers, game wardens (conservation officers)

• Campus police & school resource officers

• Hospital security (uniformed)

• Private security officers/guards (uniformed)

• Transit/security police (rail, airport, port)

• Search & rescue teams (SAR) and disaster response personnel (if uniformed)

• Nurses (RN, LPN/LVN, APRN/NP; in scrubs or other uniform with facility ID)

• Physicians/Doctors (MD/DO; clinic or hospital coat/scrubs with facility ID)

• Physician assistants (PA)
